What are Pilates classes like?
Dr. Kelli Nelson will lead you through a series of smooth, integrated movements that focus on core muscles. This form of total body conditioning provides postural support and reduces stress on the spine and weight bearing joints.
In our high-tech, high-speed world, most people live in some degree of chronic stress or fight or flight. Pilates also focuses on slow, deep breaths as a way to regulate the autonomic nervous system. This can help optimize metabolism, speed up healing, and bring mental clarity.
